Local surf ministry is helping medically-fragile kids this week
Indo Jax is truly a one of a kind surf school! We are different from the others for many reasons. First of all, our qualifications set us apart from any surf school you’ll find anywhere. Our instructors are certified teachers with extensive surfing backgrounds. Our ocean experience, safety training and teaching background is unparalleled. With our qualifications we can provide a “learn to surf” experience that the others just can’t. In addition, our prices are quite a bit lower than the industry standard. We could charge much more, but we don’t, because we love to teach people to surf! Our most unique feature, however, is we give back! We have an impressive outreach surf school program. We offer free surf clinics to various groups ranging from medically fragile inner city children to breast cancer survivors. The motto at the school is simple, “We are nothing if we don’t give back!” Our doors open spring of 2008 and we are STOKED!
Sure, we would love to make a few bucks doing something we enjoy, but that’s not what Indo Jax is all about. We love to surf, we love the ocean, and we love to pass on our passion and surfing knowledge to others. Our ultimate goals are
-
Teach people to surf in a fun and safe learning environment.

- Bring surfing to people who might otherwise not have a chance to do so.
- Use the stoke of wave riding to build self-esteem in people.
- Promote a love of the ocean environment .
- Set an example of charity for others to follow.
All while having a great time!
When we donate lessons to a particular group, Indo Jax provides all equipment necessary to learn to surf, we donate the necessary instructors, and we leave each student with a little gift upon completion of our surf course, all at no cost to the student. This generous donation comes at a heavy cost to us and so we rely on sponsors to help us out. We will list sponsors and donors here on our web-site. If you have an outreach program that we can donate to, or if you would like to donate to one of our outreach programs, please contact us. As events arise, I will post them here. Stay tuned for photos of our outreach events.
