Two weeks ago we finished up a surf camp for the Boys and Girls Club.  It was a great experience.  This camp was put on by Indo Jax and its instructors.  Volunteers gave their time and Indo Jax gave the equipment to pull this camp off.  It was an absolute blast and there was a fantastic news article on WWAY about it. Today was the start of the outreach surf camp for CHOICES, an afterschool program at Noble Middle School.  The kids were phenomenal out in the water!  Again Indo Jax donated the equipment and volunteers made it all possible.

These camps are totally free to the participants and made possible by Indo Jax and its core of volunteer surf instructors.  We look forward to many more of these camps.  Check our homepage for the upcoming schedule of charity camps.

Thanks to all those who came out to help!  Great job to all those participants who tried something new.

I was just putting together our staff phone and e-mail list and am impressed by the quality people we have at Indo Jax.  We will have over 15 top notch instructors this year, all great teachers and accomplished in the ocean.  We have half a dozen certified teachers, and all of our instructors are either college graduates or close to it.  We have the staff in place to make some great things happen this year for our surf school, our kite board school and our outreach programs. This year’s surf camps look to be incredible.  Hopefully we will soon have all of our 09 instructors on the instructor page, so everyone can see what an impressive crew we have.  We have had fantastic turnout from our staff at the charity surf camps.  Thanks to all those who came to help, your efforts have not gone unnoticed.  We realize that the instructors are what make us who we are.  Our staff training day is Wednesday, 4-6 pm in Carolina Beach.  We hope to see you all out there.  Thanks!
